dear editor of the most influential newspaper in one of the most open minded of cities of the World.

this involvement in iraq, has brought to my mind an rather fascinating question.

first let me state something, which will become evident, why i am stating it, in a moment. i was, as a child, a citizen of the soviet union republics, which i am no longer, i am now an citizen of the united states of america. i have lived here, for 15 years, since i was 17. i now consider myself thoroughly an american and also a citizen of the world. i am not jewish and i have very few jewish friends, but this by coincidence, not by choice.

with this involvement in iraq now, an rather interesting question has come to my mind, as if this question has been there all along, almost a surprise that everyone around me is not asking this question already.

since the united states governement obviously needs not to bother manufacturing a half way believable excuse to enter into conflicts of the world, and as compassionately as it does, and lays down the lives of many of it’s own people, on behalf of the people involved in these other conflicts,

if indeed we may be saving the people of iraq from an ugly scary monster, which our governement has no need of proving to us first, before requiring the united states of america peoples to lay their lives down on behalf of them,

why is it that our governement knew about what was happening to the Jews, when Germany had it’s own version of a scary monster at it’s head, and yet somehow

how is it that our governement

has never allowed us the opportunity to lay our lives down on the behalf of the Jews when had the people been notified, when our governement knew, and knew well.

i am not asking the russian governement, nor the russian people this same question, because i do believe that the russian people at the time were suffering just as awfully as the jews in Hitler’s germany, the russians' monster at the time, much more powerful at the time, for this one - the russian monster, truly there was nothing the people of the united states of america could have done, and it was a wise decision to spare the lives which would have been wasted, trying to save the people of the ‘russias’ from their monster at the time, or any other monstrosities of the other monsters before that one...

but with the german monster, right in the beginning when he was still quite small and weak, and the german people still themselves confused, as to what he could have been, and also in comparison, with the united states of america, how many times more powerful ?

the people of the united states of america were not even in any way notified, so that the people of the united states of america, could make their own decision as to whether they would like to, or possibly even had preferred to, lay their lives down for every single jew who died in the holocaust, and also for every single non-jew who was incinerated in the ovens, or slowly tortured to death, in the concentration camps for 6 years.

dear sir or madam, the people of america, were denied the opportunity to make this choice for themselves. i think the time is perfectly ripe, if not to answer this question, then to simply and at least just ask it.

it is the question at the back of the mind of every citizen of he world who knows what a united states of america is, also primarily it is the question in the back of the mind of every person who considers themselves american and is educated to the most basic points of the history of the 20th century, this is a new century, it is time to - if not answer, as there may not be an answer, it is however the time to ask.

the answer which may be a little more relevant to today, would be this: how do these Democracy and Libery things work, when the people of the united states never even had the opportunity to make their wishes considered, let alone heard, let alone - voted.

to speak up on our own behalf

US THE PEOPLE.

i have traveled extensively throughout my life, i have lived all over the united states of america, on each of its coasts, and i know the american people and peoples of the world, you may spent most of your time discussing in your newspapers and tvs and radios how awful your governement is - fine.

i have no doubt whatsoever, had THE PEOPLE of the United States Of America been allowed to vote on this

we would have voted to go and save them, had we been told THE TRUTH.

and we would have laid our lives down for every single one of them, if it meant we ALL die WITH them.

as you can see now, we would have gone, as we are continuing to go to the iraq,

without any proof nor any vote taken by us, whatsoever.

had we not been denied the opportunity

maybe i was not born here in this United States Of America, but i have traveled much, and on my computer i have purchased music i listen to in a myriad languages of the World, of the Free countries, and many not so free. i even have some english language music here. and I am of a higher opinion of the People Of The United States Of America, then anyone else i have ever met

i think this is the perfect time to ask.

protect my privacy, so that i may forever remain ‘only’ a citizen of this country.

please also explain what is the difference between DEMOCRACY and LIBERTY and how they might be related to VOTING, assuming there is any relation, amongst these 3, at all.
